winter days

As the winter days seem to drag on.... and on....

I've managed to take some time off this winter to spend precious quality time with my boys, making wholesome breads, focusing on healthier eating, a healthier lifestyle, and taking advantage of the quite time to pour over many seed catalogs and websites to plan this years garden.

After much thought, we have decided to plant as many heirloom seeds as possible. Keeping our eye on the prize of a plentiful garden.

Somehow, this just seems to make the winter days seem more tolerable.

In the meantime... the winters rest has done wonders for our souls. Both Troy and I are looking forward to getting back to our respectful roles as Plant Operator and Soapmaker.

The Soap shop will re-open in March and we are ready for 2009 with fresh new ideas.

We just found you, and we love your blog and your soap. We would love to come visit sometime. We grew up not too far from there in Deer Park, WA, so maybe on a trip home we can arrange it. We would like to invite you to our show in Puyallup, WA. You would be a delightful addition. Please consider it.
