Saving Lettuce Seed

I am having fun in the garden this year saving seeds from various garden goods. This week, I am saving lettuce seeds. The lettuce bolted as soon as the weather heated up, and has been happily growing in the garden like a roque weed.

The lettuce was loaded with little yellow blossoms that have promptly turned into little white puffs.

Inside the little  white puffs, lies the magic of  Mother Nature.

Tiny little seeds....

That will be planted in the garden of  2014
